I love bass fishing at night, especially in the dog days of summer. If you have a bit of light, such as a full moon, I will cast a buzzbait. If light is scarce, I switch to a large plastic worm or lizard. Swimming plastics lets you feel the bite, rather than see it. Keep some form of light in the boat, so you can safely remove all the fish you catch!

Use a glow in the dark bobber.

Bass seem to like shiny or bright colored lures, especially at night, try to fish closer to the shore at this time as well, as the water at that point will seem to be a bit warmer, and the fish will likely be hanging around that area until mid morning.

It helps to fish on warmer nights as well…between 60 and 70 degrees.

if you want a different fishing experience go to your local grocery store and pick up a pound of liver, and try for catfish. you can fish for them any time of day with a baited hook with a ball of liver on it… they love the stuff.

    Thanks

look into a baitrunner reel. set it and forget it youll hear the fish run off with the bait.no need to stare at your pole in the dark

Got something to say?
