I am going fishing this weekend up close to the Adirondacks on a private pond with lots of cover, weeds, fallen logs etc…

Throw some 1/4 oz. spinnerbaits near that cover. Also, try some med diving crankbaits, & soft plastics.

Bass spawn in May so they’re harder to catch right now, but soon they’ll be biting!

your a bit early for bass, try using chunks of chopped up fish on your hook,if you dont get any bass biting, you might get something else.

If they’re still spawning, toss a plastic worm into the nest and they’ll MOUTH it, and move it out of the nest. Watch close if you’re sight fishing and set the hook.

Sometimes Bass on the bed can be Enticed into hitting a Torpedo
top water plug. Also try a tiny tube if the Bass are more timid.
For bedding bass try a rubber lizard or if you can find them a water dawg.

look for white looking spots on the bottom about 2 feet wide - they’re probably bedding (spawning) toss a rubber red worm or lizard and toss it into the "nest" when the bass picks it up (and they will) set the hook.
THEN RELEASE THE FISH DON’T HANDLE IT TOO MUCH

Got something to say?
