Crooked Lake (Sylvania Wilderness) Fishing Tips, Anyone?

January 2, 2010

I will be fishing Crooked Lake in Sylvania Wilderness over Memorial Day weekend. I am new to the lake and would like some tips on good spots to fish or any general tips. I’ll be fishing for Northern, LM/SM Bass, and larger panfish. Thanks!

We were up there last year over the Labor Day weekend and the bass were hitting the Zoom Super Flukes and Trick Worms like crazy. I had the best luck with the Watermelon Candy color in Super Flukes and the Watermelon / Red color in Trick Worms.

I haven’t been in that area in years. But your best bet might be to take the basics with you, and stop at a local bait shop for some local info and supplies before you hit the water. Good luck!
