during late spring and early summer, i would go with something topwater as injun said. A buzzbait will work great in a pond. Also try poppers, frogs, floating minnows, and my favorite lures…senkos. i would also try some spinnerbaits

Right now is prime time for topwater action on ponds and lakes! So get those frogs and other top waters lures out!
Buzz baits work great in ponds as well will plastic wormms and skirted grubs fished near weeds or a drop!

Be a little more specific.
How big is the pond? Water color? Any old trees/stumps in or around it?

I catch them by the hundreds (ok, 1 at a time) at my pond on a size 0 Mepps spinner. Any lure that you can fish through or over the tops of weeds will produce bass right now! Really, I mean right now! So turn off the computer and go catch them now!
